Cooking is Feminine or Masculine?

Hi there!
On my first post I wrote about a book I'm reading which is about Dinner roles saying why does cooking have a "Woman's job" image.
I was surfing on Youtube to find a video that was related to this theme.
It was quite difficult to find the absolutely related video so I tried looking for a video where Dads do the cooking.

This is the video I found.
Dad vs Daughter It's worth it!

I loved this video because this channel is a dad's guide for cooking. It is just a good start for cooking to be more masculine.

Red Rock!!

Hey guys !
How have you been?
I've been pretty fine and last Saturday my mother and her friends came over to Tokyo.
My mother's friend and her daughter had to go and see a stage performance called TENCHU.
Mean while my mother and I went to eat lunch at "Red Rock" in Harajuku.

You can eat Roast beef or Steak or Loco moco as a Donburi menu. Donburi is a bowl of rice with some topping in this case Roast beef etc.
This is one of the best place a meat lover can visit!!!
Seriously, it was perfect!

I chose Roast beef this time (I'm planning to visit again LOL) and it's just so Cheap! Fast! and Delicious!
Maybe next time I'll have the steak because that looked very good too :)

Carrot Salad

Hi there!

Let me talk about what I've been doing recently.

On 16th of October my best friend had her 20th birthday!
And since we both became legal (My birthday was 7th July) I took her to dinner for her first legal drink.(yay!)

We went to a restaurant called "nino*nino" in Yokohama, Japan.
It's very close to the station and the restaurant is famous for "Cheese fondue".
My friend and I were looking forward to the cheese fondue but not only that but also the salads and desserts were also very tasty.
I actually loved the Carrot Salad and Edamame they served us more than anything.
They were absolutely beautiful!

There's another nino*nino in Shibuya as well so if you have an opportunity I recommend you have a visit :)

Introduction!!!!!

Hi! My name is Rima and I'll be writing a food blog for a while.
First of all in my class, we're all reading a "Food" related book.
I'd like to introduce my book that I'm reading.

Dinner Roles: American Women and Culinary Culture

So this book is generally about why the preparation of food became something feminine.According to the book, in most American homes the cooking is considered to be mom's responsibility and not dad's. I think this is the same in Japan too well probably in any country cooking considered to be feminine.I like cooking myself and I have no problem for it being feminine however, a lot of chiefs tend to be male. I was curious about the history about this and this led me to read this book.
